Pictures of Fall 2015

The spring crocus says "winter is over." The Fall Crocus says "get ready."

The Mimosa has been blooming all summer. The seed pods say its time for a rest

This is what cross pollination can do

Raspberry jam is a fall and every other season favorite

Rainbow days are always welcome

Late August and it's time to start getting ready for next year's garden

Some new Iris starts. They are kind of small so I'm not sure if I will see blooms next year

The Bird of Paradise is another sign of fall in my yard

The Asters came back on their own

I put my Amaryllis in the garden to grow the bulbs and sometimes get one or two that bloom a second time

The harvest makes the effort worthwile

Morning is the best time to see the Mexican Petunias. By late afternoon the blossoms fall and make room for new blooms the next day

I love the harvest

The Arum flower is delicate in May

The orange berries of the Arum tell us that fall is not far off

I love a sunrise view of the garden

Greenhouse ready to burst; just in time for Spring

This picture was taken in December '14.  They are still blooming (in the greenhouse)

January blooms (greenhouse)
Osteospermum from the Temple, blooming again in the greenhouse

Heliotrope over Gazania

About a year and a half ago I saved some Cyclamen seeds just for the fun of it. It really is fun to see them bloom

This year the crocus will be bloomed and gone before their normal bloom time

Like everything else, the Crown Imperials are about three weeks early
